Benefit of being trained by a specialist Real Estate Registered Training Organisation (RTO)

We often receive phone calls in the office asking why course prices differ so much from Training Organisation to Training Organisation. The answer is simple…you get what you pay for! There are many different training organisations that deliver training in the property industry. Some deliver real estate and property training as a small arm only of their organisation, whilst focusing for the main part on business and related courses.

RETS only trains in the property industry, and as such we spend all of our time and resources focusing on real estate and strata courses and this has many benefits for our students:

  • RETS has been training property agents since 2003
  • RETS  are able to focus all our efforts on creating quality property resources and ensuring they remain up to date  with the latest property legislation and  issues
  • Some RTOs use generic learning materials. RETS learning materials are developed especially for the property industry, by a writer who has 30 years’ experience as a licensed agent, and 25 years as a trainer in the property industry.
  • RETS knowledge and experience is totally focused on the needs of property students alone, understanding and being able to advise them on their educational requirements, understanding the challenges of studying whilst working in a pressure cooker role in property, being able to provide hands on case studies and workplace situations.
  • Students benefit as they can be assured that the training they are receiving is up to date, relevant and will prepare them for the property workplace.

If you are still unsure NSWFT have developed a Q & A overview which covers questions you should be asking an RTO before signing up to a course.

On a final note: If it is too good to be true, it is too good to be true. When looking around be careful that the course you are undertaking covers the legislation adequately. Penalties for breaches of the numerous acts related to the property sector include jail time!
